Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) has confirmed that their long-delayed ban on recyclable plastic utensils and straws will be coming to an end. The ordinance will come into full effect on July 1st, and will require all restaurants in the Seattle area to switch to compostable alternatives which include PLA and Paper options.
FSI will be rolling out its own eco-friendly compostable line of products shortly to accommodate your needs, while meeting the legal requirements of SPU’s ordinance! Our compostable line will include utensils, straws, clamshells and portion cups.
